What is a gingham print?

The gingham print, or vichy checks , became popular thanks to Brigitte Bardot, a pioneer in using it in many of her dresses on the big screen.

The term arose in the French city of Vichy (as its name indicates), and became popular thanks to the prints used to make napkins or tablecloths.

Since its creation to date, vichy has gone through many stages, from the large classic red and white squares, to the more pastel and smaller tones, through all the color backgrounds and unimaginable combinations.

And now that you know what "vichy" is

How do I combine a gingham bow tie with my clothes?

  • Since bow ties do not measure more than 12cm (at least the vast majority) , we recommend that yours have a small square gingham print .
  • If they are very large or medium, they will not be appreciated as a whole and the look may be a little unbalanced.
  • If your print, in addition to small squares, involves pastel tones , then try combining it with shirts that generate contrast with the chosen color.
  • It is a very suitable print for your most casual looks . It conveys elegance, simplicity and delicacy.

If now that you know what a "vichy" style bow tie is and you think it could be perfect for the look you want to achieve , what are you waiting for? Buy it in pitas, pitas pajaritas
